My Italian Pie is better than a deep dish pizza. It consists of 2 lbs of ground beef, 1 lb of sweet Italian sausage, diced tomatoes, sliced baby belladonna mushrooms and gravy/sauce. Ooh and I forgot seven cups of mozzarella cheese.
I'll be filling you in on my experiences at different places to eat from ya mommas house to hole in the walls to places that require a jacket & tie. Will also post recipes, food funnies and ideas. Leave feedback in the comments and follow me @immafoodie

Perfect Turkey
Believe it or not this Turkey is cooked and so moist and tender that it can be sliced with a butter knife.
The trick to this is don't let your eyes
deceive you!
I think I need a gravy boat filled with ice cold milk! What do you think?

My All Butter Pound Cake
Butter Pound Cake
This is simply the best butter pound cake recipe.
2 sticks of softened butter
1- 2/3 cup of sugar
5 eggs
2 cups of flour
3/4 teaspoon of salt
teaspoon of vanilla extract
Preheat the oven to 325
The recipe is for a 9x5 loaf pan. (Pictured is bundt pan with the recipe doubled.) Which ever way you make this generously butter the pan and lightly flour it.
In a mixing bowl start whipping the butter. As the butter gets creamy add the sugar and whip for 3 minutes until well blended. Crack each egg open and put in a cup. (This way you can discard any small pieces of egg shell before it gets in the batter.)
Now add the eggs 1 at a time to the butter and sugar while it is blending. Add the vanilla and the salt with this as well then add the flour and blend until mixed well. The batter will need to be spooned into the baking pan. Do not fill the pan to the top because it's going to rise quite a bit. I recommend leave an inch from being full.
Then bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until you stick a toothpick in it and it comes out clean.
Now if you have batter left make a cupcake or
do like I do, give it to whoever is hanging around in the kitchen lurking! Yeah I said it!
After the cake is ready. Let it rest and cool for 10 minutes. For some odd reason in my home it is always cut before then.......uhhh let's say for quality control!
After that gently turn on to a rack and remove the pan slowly and cool for another 10 minutes before you move it to your serving dish.

Baked Sheep head - counting sheep to sleep doesn't work for me!
My cousin is very resourceful and the type of guy that would want to know if stuff got crazy or if there was a zombie apocalypse cause he knows how to live off of the land. Usually I would have to experience this on my own but was not able to make it. But this is it.
What i'll be eating tonight for the first time! SHEEP'S HEAD; BRAINS AND ALL! Using an Italian recipe. And no I did not buy the head from the store.... From field to table.
Well....this is about as good as you can make this look? Brains on the side with Apple lettuce and Jesus bread( flat bread) . I must say. Looks crazy! TASTES GREAT! The Cheek meat tastes smooth like roast beef. Everything else with the exception of the brains tastes like the skin on WELL stewed Turkey wings; eyes included! The brain tastes like Turkey wing paste mixed with a hint of liver, but not over powering. Everything really tastes subtle and well seasoned. The tongue was the only standout.

Soul Rolls - Egg Rolls but different
Here are a couple versions of egg rolls that I make.
This one has collard greens, smoked pork neckbone meat, carrot, scallions and bean sprouts.
This one has Napa cabbage, smoked turkey wing meat, carrot, bean sprouts and scallions.
Since I knew I was making this for my family it didn't matter if I separated the turkey and pork neckbones so all of that went into the slow cooker for 10 hours with just enough water to cover the meat and a little salt and pepper.
Then I used a quarter Cup of stock from the meat, ounce of soy sauce and tablespoon of brown sugar to saute the veggies in separate pans for a couple minutes but still firm. (The collards I cooked a little longer for tenderness.)
Have an egg wash prepared with the egg roll wrappers and follow the instructions for frying them.

Blue Moon Cafe - Baltimore Maryland
Worth every minute to get off of Highway I -95 to get a bite. I absolutely dread getting off of an exit on the highway during a long road trip unless I have to gas up or hit the restroom. However for the Blue Moon Cafe I would drive 20 miles off course with no gps signal to find them again.
A cafe can have the best food any where around but can only be as good as the staff is. The staff is incredible and all of the servers have personality........ not a cookie cutter wait crew.
Capt'n Crunch French Toast
Cinnamon Roll - oooey gooey cinnamadness!
This sums it up!!
